A Little Closer

to being on the tip of the spear, USS Albuquerque has completed the homeport shift to San Diego from Grrrrrroton (the name is actually Roton, but it’s so cold you call it Grrroton while you’re shivering..). Of course, this is all part of the strategic movement of submarines so that we have more in the PAC than in the LANT.

Theory being that there’s more need for them in the WESTPAC, and going over top, while fun, is frought with unnecessary dangers.

Enjoy the sun, sand, and California lifestyle boys! You’re now one step closer to being on call for an emergent WESTPAC!
