Save the Flame

The National World War One museum is here in Kansas City and it is an impressive site. Dedicated in 1921, it was definitely designed as a memorial to “the Great War.”

Unfortunately, funding issues (spoken, Mayor making bad decisions) have created an issue with keeping the burning flame atop the tower lit.

Unfortunately recent funding issues have forced the flame sitting atop the 217-foot tower to be extinguished, except on special holidays. The annual cost to keep the flame burning is estimated to be 45,000 dollars by officials at the National World War I Museum at Liberty Memorial.

Do what you can, spread the word, but somehow get people to Save the Flame to keep this memorial going as it should be.
